Mr. Teeple's 1977 MGB came to us with bad motor mounts. As you can see from the pictures above, the rubber on one of the mounts has separated from the metal. However, this is not the only place motor mounts can go bad! It is common among MGBs from 1977 1/2 to 1980 to have the metal engine bracket tear. The solution is to weld gussets at the start of the tear.
