MG Summer Party “The Octagon 08/08/08”

The Summer Party will be held this year on the weekend of August 8 th , 2008. This is an almost perfect date and we shall celebrate accordingly. This year will include the Car show, Vendors, Banquet, and for the first time ever John Twist will be conducting a Tune up Session Friday afternoon at the hotel. Please mark your calendars and check back for updates. We will be sending out a postcard shortly followed by a registration mailer. We look forward to hosting another great party and hope all can come!

 


Summer Technical Seminars 2008

This August, shortly after our Summer Party, we will hold another round of Technical Seminars due to increased demand. XPAG Engine Rebuild, MG Mechanical Seminar and the Gearbox Rebuild will be offered from August 20 th through August 26 th . Please refer to the registration form below for specifics.

Tuning for Speed 2008

Tuning for Speed is a three day class hosted jointly by Eclectic Motorworks and University Motors . Geared toward MGA and MGB owners, the course is also useful to other British car enthusiasts. The first day covers the basics of a comprehensive tune up. The second day begins with time on a chassis dyno at Baker Engineering (not offered in the Winter) for up to five participants and concludes with introductory discussion of performance modifications and tuning. The final day concludes the seminar with in-depth performance discussions that include various performance "recipes" from mild to full-race. Participants receive several handouts including data from over 1000 dyno pulls. Class size is limited to 20 participants. The class costs $395, plus $95 for dyno time if desired.
