The end of another week here at University! On John's hoist today is Mr. Love's 1974 MGB with a side draught Weber 45 DCOE. He bought the car in Indiana in 1974, but the car was out of his possession for about 20 years. Now that Mr. Love has the car back, he has had us finish a restoration on the car that was started by another shop. Today John is sorting out the Weber Carburetor!

This MGA came to us yesterday from Kalamazoo, Michigan. The car came to us after having spent way too long, and the owners spending way too much, at another shop. We are now doing clutch work and a complete lube to the car.

On the hoist today we have a MGA 1500 that belongs to Mr. Cheek. The car was restored 15 years ago, and is now in the shop to sort out some minor mechanical and steering problems. Notice the position of the wheels as Greg checks the rack!

Here we have Curt working underneath the dash of a 1952 TD from Muskegon, Michigan. The car belongs to Dr. Kellogg who accompanied the car here today. He has owned the car for a little over a year, and has unfortunately yet to have the pleasure of driving it! Registration numbers for the summer party are quickly rising! The latest room count from the Hilton shows: 8th - 8 rooms 9th - 38 rooms 10th - 93 rooms! 11th - 88 rooms!

We're starting the week by finishing a couple of projects. In the first picture we have John tuning a TR6 that has been into the shop for extensive brake and suspension work. Below that, we have a car that belongs to Mark Mausser of New York City. This is a beautiful 1275 RWA Midget that has come into the shop for a flowed cylinder head, a MSD ignition, and a 5-speed gearbox from Riverside. The car is running well and appears to be ready for its 1000 mile shakedown before the customer arrives!

Another busy morning at University! Here we have Mr. Flick's 1975 MGB in the wash bay being cleaned. All cars that come to the shop are thoroughly cleaned before they are deemed ready to leave, and this vermilion MGB is no exception!

Today we have a 1960 Bugeye on Casey's hoist that belongs to Colonel Johnson; he still wears the same leather jacket and goggles when driving the car that he wore when flying B-17s over Germany. The car is in the shop for brake and steering work.

Here we have a red TF that was purchased by Sue Watson in 1962. After purchasing the car she drove it from California via Route 66 to Traverse City, Michigan. When the car came to University for restoration in November of 2005, it was still on the same tires, bias ply, that made the trip from California! The car is now back for maintenance and modification ( High speed rear end - $1,500)

Yesterday we had a combined shop birthday party for Curt and Matt. The party provided a nice break from the strong summer heat and a very busy shop! At the moment we have: 2 MGAs, 1 TF, 1 TA, 3 Midgets, 1 TD, 2 TR6s, 1 Spitfire, and 12 MGBs! We are constantly preparing for the summer party, and will be sending a letter to our many donors/vendors today.
