Caroline is back to work today after a nine day hospital stay. After an MRI for an unrelated nerve problem several weeks ago, the doc found a "mass" within her right lung. Last week Wednesday they operated and removed two of her three lobes. Contained in that upper and middle lobe was a cancerous tumor the size of an orange. The good news is that the tumor was found "earlier rather than later" and the cancer appeared to have remained within the tumor. Her convalescence will take a month or so. At that time she will have to undergo chemotherapy. As one can well imagine, this has slowed us down considerably.
